What TXT Tab is

TXT Tab is a shared expense tracker for two people. You log expenses by text message, email, or the app; we keep a running balance of who owes who and help you settle up through your own Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle accounts. TXT Tab is a record-keeping tool — we are not a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor, and we never hold or move your money. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

SMS messaging terms

By providing your phone number and texting the TXT Tab service number, you consent to receive recurring text messages from TXT Tab about your shared tab — expense confirmations, partner activity, and settle-up notifications. Consent is collected when you add and verify your phone number in your account settings and when you first text the service number; it is not a condition of any purchase.

• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Your tab partner can see the expenses, balances, and display name on your shared tab.

Subscriptions and billing

TXT Tab costs $4 per couple per month or $40 per year after a 14-day free trial, billed through Stripe. Cancel anytime from Settings; cancellation stops future charges and your access continues through the period you paid for. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice.

Acceptable use

Don’t use TXT Tab to break the law, send abusive content, probe or disrupt the service, or access another person’s account. We may suspend accounts that do.

Accuracy and disclaimers

Expense parsing (including AI parsing of texts and receipts) can make mistakes — review your entries and edit anything that looks wrong. Balances are computed from what you and your partner log. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@txttab.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.

Changes

We may update these terms; changes will be posted here with an updated date, and material changes announced by email or text. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
